The theme of this year’s Anti-Bullying Week was “Reach Out,” so the children learned about friendship, acts of kindness and being kind to others. They also celebrated how we are all different and unique by wearing odd socks.

Our new building in Wood Wharf is coming along brilliantly and we can’t wait to move during the spring/summer terms. We are excited to have placed some wonderful banners on the exterior of the building to inform passers-by that Mulberry Wood Wharf will be based there.

For the school’s first ever trip, the children of Tiger Class went to Mudchute Farm, where they met sheep, goats, cows, pigs, chickens and even alpacas! The children loved learning about all the animals and what they are kept for, as well as the chance to explore their local area more.

For Halloween, the children dressed up as different characters and told different stories facilitated by their costumes.

We are delighted to share our annual Going Places destinations publication with you. It is a celebration of the impressive examination results achieved by our Year 13 students in 2022 and a testament to their resilience and commitment throughout their educational journey with us.

Over 80% of Year 13 students across the Mulberry Schools Trust went on to gain a place at university whilst others embarked on other further study, degree apprenticeships or entered the world of work.

Please download the publication below and find out what some of our students had to say!

During the week, the children learned all about Diwali and discussed how we celebrate special times with our families. The class looked at different items associated with Diwali, including traditional clothing and rangoli patterns.

Celebrating a variety of culture’s festivals is weaved into Mulberry Wood Wharf’s curriculum: while the children were still arriving and settling in, they commemorated Rosh Hashanah by baking small honey cakes and drizzling honey over slices of apple.

The Mulberry Schools Trust is deeply saddened by the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on Thursday 8th September 2022. Her Majesty was the longest-reigning British monarch, who meant so much to us here at Mulberry and so many people in the United Kingdom and right around the world. Many will remember Her Majesty for her warmth and humour and she will be greatly missed.

Our deepest condolences are with His Majesty King Charles III and the whole of the Royal Family. We know many families will be greatly affected by this news and Mulberry stands with the nation in this period of mourning.

Our schools will be marking this moment in their own ways, led by their Headteachers. This type of news can affect how we feel and we will ensure all our students and members of staff are well supported.

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II was one of the very great women of our time and her achievements as a leader and figurehead are remarkable. We will miss her presence in our national life very much.
